100%?

This past weekend there was some kind of.....Kulture(?) show out at Ralph's Diner and like the Prodigy show, I didn't plan on going.
Unlike the Prodigy show however, I didn't & after seeing some people's pictures, I'm perfectly OK with my decision.

From what I've found (and I won't post the pictures here, but I'm sure you can find them with minimal inter tube sleuthing) I didn't miss anything.

In fact, it looks like the show went something like this:

Black & red, black & red, black & red, wrong wheels.
Black & red, black & red, black & red, street rod.
Black & red, black & red, black & red, wrong tires.
Black & red, black & red, black & red, crummy paint.
Black & red, black & red, black & red, wrong wheel & tire sizes.
Should I continue?
Black & red, black & red, black & red, 4 door family sedan.
Black & red, black & red, black & red, ridiculous cartoony "Rat rod".
Black & red, black & red, black & red, muscle car.
Black & red, black & red, black & red, 4 door family sedan with....flames?
Black & red, black & red, black & red, shit box.

Now, what culture (Sorry, Kulture) is this 100% of?
From where I sit, it's a bunch of people "Phoning it in" on a look...and again, I blame the magazines.

Yes, I'm jaded & sure, I may be a bit bitter...but if I were a little kid & this was my exposure to hot rods & old cars, I'd turn to stamp collecting.

Magazines hawking their advertisers junk, TV showing us the "drama" side of Hot Rods, and all of it catering to the lowest common denominator. And the sheeple eat it up.

I stand with you on this one - now I'm gonna go look at the first few issues of "Hop Up" magazine to get the bad taste out of my mouth.
