Deadsville

Well...you won't see much here for awhile.
I...well...my computer caught some super mutant space virus.
It looks like it's done for.

Before and after of a 77 Sportster

I was going to post this on the Jockey Journal but....I dunno....that place lately.
That could be an entry all it's own.
Anyhow, here's some crummy scans of bad scans of not-so-good pictures.
If I had to guess the first 2 are early 80's?
The last one, which could easily be a "before" again (there's been talk of all black tins)is a bit more recent....I'll say 2005?
If this bike could talk......the first thing it might say is "I get treated like a dirt bike!"

Destiny?

All of these have been hot rods longer than they were "civilian" cars....and they're all local.

Here's a game you can play at home!

My Maternal Grandmother's Camera:

My Paternal Grandmother's camera:

An old cell phone of mine that would take pictures.

I know the phone doesn't work anymore...something tells me the cameras still will.

Five from the hard drive

For no real reason and in no order.

I don't buy the Warren Commission's version one bit.
Never have.

23 skiddoo!

So yeah, it looks like I'm gonna be a college man.
Me, "The World's Oldest Freshman".
I don't care about the social morays...I'm wearing a raccoon coat! (which is incredibly hard to find a picture of I will have you know)
Now I just have learn the Charleston, and how to play the ukulele, and find a flat brimmed hat, and a pennant and...and....and.....
I ate a live goldfish at the campus tour...I wanted to get it out of the way right off the bat.

Now, where's that Billy Lee Riley record?
(There's a dollar in it for whoever gets that reference)

I was looking for something entirely different

When I stumbled across this.
In my "Happy place" every girl dances like this.
Local boy done good.....

More from Brockton 2008

Here's a few more pics from the pits.
If you want actual good photos, you should probably go here

More Norm Wallace roadster

Found these....same car as below.
This is from the Ty-Rods show back in 1999...when it used to be on Monday & would go well in to the night.

I really have nothing to add today

Other than its nearly impossible to damage just one panel on a Miata.

Shopping cart damage....200......2?

Lousy Gene Krupa wannabe

This past weekend I tried to "sort of" explain my "relationship" & views towards the instrument to someone....and I think they got it, although it didn't make me sound like any less of a loon.

I know a little of the history of this kit & kinda made up my own.
An owner's name is written in pencil on the inside of the snare...I really should look him up.
The signs are all there that it is a total "working man's" kit.
Late 40's Radio King with early 50's 22" Bass.
One can assume the owner got sick of lugging the huge bass that was common for the day.
It plays like a dream, sounds like a dream, feels like a dream..and that's not saying nearly enough.

A sound guy's nightmare.

Long term relationship

As near as I can figure I've had this kit for almost 15 years.
It's lasted longer than most women in my life.
Probably my most used, definitely the most repaired (and in setting it up again it seems it needs work...more work...sorta like owning an old motorcycle)1964 Slingerland.
20, 12, 14 & 14 white satin flame...or as a friend used to refer to it as "The hip shit"

15 year old Sharpie by Stan Kozlowski.

What better thing to do on a dreary Saturday

than pull skeletons of your former life from the closet?
1963 Rogers Holiday.
Third owner, high mileage....God I love this little kit.
Sadly, the last time it was set up Bill Clinton was president.

First love

Anthem for the working man

From, quite possibly, the best thing ever on television.

The Norm Wallace Roadster

Well, now that I figured out an easier way to upload photos there will probably be a lot more of this.
Here's quite possible my favorite hot rod of all time....the fact that its a local car is just coincidence.
Hot Rod Magazine cover car for September 1958:

Oddly, while sifting through a box of family pictures I came across another photo of this my father must have taken....I'm guessing late in the late 60's early 70's at an indoor car show, quite possibly at the Hynes Convention Center.
Damn...I gotta get my hands on a scanner.
