Tone

One of the many reasons I don't pay much attention to new music these days is somehow, the idea of "tone" is just plain missing.
Everything sounds the same...no one tunes their drums...and no one plays the drum.
Imagine...actually playing the instrument.
He may not be a household name exactly, but Ray Bauduc is one of the best examples of "tone" and playing to get the most out of it.
