2009 Celebrity Death Frenzy

Les Paul died.
94 is a great run for anybody but it still makes me sad that someone like him has to go.
A genius who, as a friend put it, was "The Thomas Edison of modern recording".
If this doesn't get the same media coverage as the some of the other so-called "Pioneers" I may just give up entirely.

If you ever get a chance to see this documentary, by all means....do it!

Very fitting and deserving tribute to LP in the final segment of the NBC Nightly News tonight. He was respected for his legitimate, not BS, contributions to the music industry. I caught an excellent documentary about him and his wife recently; inspired me to download a handful of tunes for the iPod.
