That's not to say you can't take an early/mid 60's compact & make it cool.
It's just that, for whatever reason, no one does.
I spotted this at a local "cruise" night over the holiday weekend & fell in love.
A clean, simple little Comet not trying to be anything.
Imagine how must fun this thing is.

oh great, thanks. now you make me miss mine. since it's been gone, i have figured out just how i would do one up, very tastefully.
and, i saw this car in easton last night. and a virtual twin to my old one in this ugly flesh color.
now i got a hankerin' for another comet. jeez. what i really wanna do is take a falcon-ranchero and graft '62/3 comet fins to it and use the comet nose...
